2 cans (410g each) evaporated milk
2 cans (410g each) sweetened condensed milk
180ml lemon juice, or more to taste
1 package (567g) Mexican Maria cookies (galletas Maria)
Step 1
In a bowl, whisk together the evaporated milk, sweetened condensed milk, and lemon juice until the mixture is thick and smooth.
Step 2
Line a glass bowl or trifle dish with a layer of Maria cookies, then cover them with a generous layer of the milk mixture. Repeat the layering, ending with a layer of the milk mixture.
Step 3
Refrigerate for at least 6 hours, or preferably overnight. Remove from the fridge just before serving.
