2 liters lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage
2 tbsp sugar
2 tbsp hot sauce
1 tbsp crushed red pepper flakes
1 tbsp black pepper
1 large sweet onion, sliced
4 turkey legs
2 tbsp honey
1 tbsp steak seasoning
Step 1
Preheat the outdoor grill to high heat and lightly oil the grate.
Step 2
In a large pot, combine the lemon-lime flavored carbonated beverage, sugar, hot sauce, red pepper flakes, black pepper, and sliced onion. Add the turkey legs to the mixture and bring to a boil. Cook for 30 to 45 minutes until the turkey reaches an internal temperature of 80°C (180°F).
Step 3
Remove the onion slices from the mixture and place them on the prepared grill. Put the turkey legs on top of the onions. Drizzle with honey and season with steak seasoning. Grill, turning once, for 20 minutes or until the turkey legs develop a crisp, browned crust.
