30 grams flaxseed meal
60 ml water
225 grams butter, softened
200 grams white sugar
100 grams brown sugar
3 egg yolks
7.5 ml pure vanilla extract
250 grams all-purpose flour
60 grams brewer’s yeast
15 grams wheat germ
5 grams baking soda
2.5 grams salt
2.5 grams cream of tartar
250 grams old-fashioned oats
175 grams chocolate chips
Step 1
Begin by preheating the oven to 175 degrees Celsius.
Step 2
In a small bowl, combine flaxseed meal and water, then allow it to sit for 5 minutes.
Step 3
In a large mixing bowl, cream together the softened butter, white sugar, and brown sugar until smooth. Add the egg yolks and vanilla extract, and mix until well combined. Stir in the flaxseed mixture.
Step 4
In a separate bowl, mix together the flour, brewer's yeast, wheat germ, baking soda, salt, and cream of tartar.
Step 5
Combine the dry ingredients with the wet ingredients, stirring until just mixed. Fold in the oats and chocolate chips.
Step 6
Form the dough into walnut-sized balls and place them 5 centimeters apart on a baking sheet.
Step 7
Bake in the preheated oven until the edges turn golden, for approximately 10 to 12 minutes. Allow the cookies to cool on the baking sheet for 1 minute before transferring them to a wire rack to cool completely.
Step 8
Once cooled, serve and savor!
