225 grams ground beef
1/2 (800 gram) jar spaghetti sauce
1 (400 gram) can diced tomatoes
1/2 onion, chopped
1 clove garlic, minced
2 teaspoons dried basil
2 teaspoons dried oregano
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon black pepper
200 grams dried mafalda noodles
100 grams shredded mozzarella cheese
Step 1
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, cook and crumble the ground beef until browned, approximately 5 to 7 minutes. Drain any excess grease.
Step 2
Add spaghetti sauce, diced tomatoes, chopped onion, minced garlic, basil, oregano, salt, and pepper to the skillet. Simmer over low heat until the sauce is hot, about 15 minutes.
Step 3
Meanwhile, bring a large pot of lightly salted water to a boil. Cook the mafalda noodles until al dente, about 8 minutes. Drain.
Step 4
Stir the cooked and drained noodles into the sauce until well coated. Sprinkle the mozzarella cheese on top.
Step 5
Position an oven rack about 15 centimeters from the heat source and preheat the broiler.
Step 6
Place the skillet under the broiler and cook until the cheese is golden and bubbly, approximately 3 to 5 minutes.
