200g bread crumbs
3 tablespoons lemon-pepper seasoning
2 teaspoons dried basil
1 teaspoon dried oregano
1.5 teaspoons garlic powder
salt to taste
4 skinless, boneless chicken breast halves
2 large eggs, beaten
vegetable oil for frying
Step 1
In a shallow dish, combine the bread crumbs, lemon-pepper seasoning, basil, oregano, garlic powder, and salt.
Step 2
Pat the chicken pieces dry with paper towels, then dip them in the beaten eggs and dredge them through the zesty bread crumb mixture.
Step 3
Heat enough oil to generously coat the bottom of a frying pan over medium heat. Fry the chicken until golden brown and no longer pink in the center, approximately 8 to 10 minutes per side. Use an instant-read thermometer to ensure the chicken reaches at least 74 degrees C (165 degrees F) in the center.
