15g butter, or as needed
6 slices of bread, or more to taste
1 (354ml) can evaporated milk
60g white sugar
60g brown sugar
3 eggs
5ml vanilla extract
2.5ml ground cinnamon
1 dash salt
45g melted butter
80g chocolate-hazelnut spread (such as Nutella®)
60g chopped walnuts
Step 1
Start by preheating the oven to 175°C (350°F) and greasing a pie dish with butter.
Step 2
Tear the bread into 2.5-5cm pieces and arrange them in the bottom of the prepared pie dish.
Step 3
In a bowl, combine the evaporated milk, white sugar, brown sugar, eggs, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and salt. Mix thoroughly and set aside.

Add the melted butter to the bread pieces in the pie dish and toss gently to combine.

Gently melt the chocolate-hazelnut spread in a microwave-safe bowl in the microwave for 15-30 seconds to soften. Spoon dollops on top of the bread mixture, spreading to create an even layer. Sprinkle with chopped walnuts. Pour the milk-egg mixture over the top, ensuring that the bread is completely covered.

Bake in the preheated oven for 45-50 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
