3 egg yolks

In the blender, combine the egg yolks, lemon juice, Dijon mustard, and hot pepper sauce. Cover and blend for about 5 seconds.

Place the butter in a glass measuring cup and heat in the microwave for about 1 minute, until hot and completely melted.

Turn the blender on and pour the melted butter in a slow, steady stream until the sauce is thick and smooth, about 15 to 30 seconds.
