Ingredients

680 grams baby carrots
60 grams butter
80 milliliters maple syrup
salt and ground black pepper to taste

Directions

Step 1
Begin by placing the baby carrots into a pot and covering them with salted water. Bring the water to a boil and then reduce the heat to medium-low, allowing the carrots to simmer until they are tender. This should take approximately 15 to 20 minutes. Once tender, drain the carrots and transfer them to a serving bowl.
Step 2
In a saucepan over medium-low heat, melt the butter. Stir in the maple syrup and cook the mixture until it is warmed, which should take about 1 to 2 minutes. Pour the luscious caramelized maple mixture over the carrots and toss them to coat evenly. Finally, season with salt and pepper to your liking.
