3 slices bacon, chopped
1.5 tsp butter
450 g fresh asparagus, trimmed
1 medium shallot, thinly sliced
salt and ground black pepper to taste
1 tbsp grated Parmesan cheese

Prepare all the ingredients.
Step 2
In a skillet over medium heat, cook and stir the chopped bacon until crispy, about 5 minutes. Drain the excess grease.
Step 3
Add the butter to the skillet and allow it to melt. Stir in the trimmed asparagus and thinly sliced shallot. Season with salt and pepper. Cover and cook, stirring occasionally, until the asparagus is tender, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Transfer the cooked asparagus mixture to a serving platter and sprinkle with grated Parmesan cheese.
