4 kg boneless ham
400 g packed brown sugar
1 can (355 ml) cola-flavored carbonated beverage
240 ml grape juice
565 g sliced pineapple (with juice reserved)
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 165°C (325°F).
Step 2
Score the ham diagonally about 2.5 cm (1 inch) apart. Place the ham in a large roasting pan and pat the brown sugar over the entire surface, allowing some to fall into the pan.
Step 3
Bake the ham for about 30 minutes until the sugar begins to melt. Remove the ham from the oven and pour in the cola, grape juice, and reserved pineapple juice. Baste the ham with the cola mixture and return it to the oven.
Step 4
Continue basting every 20 minutes for approximately 2 hours. Cut the pineapple rings in half. Remove the ham from the oven and float the pineapple rings in the drippings. Let the ham rest for about 10 minutes, then slice and serve with the pineapple and sauce.
