1.4 kg garden rotini pasta
2 (450 g) packages steam-in-bag frozen broccoli florets
6 tomatoes, chopped
2 (450 g) bottles Italian-style salad dressing
450 g Cheddar cheese, cubed
15 g salt
5 g ground black pepper
5 g garlic powder
5 g onion powder
Step 1
In a large pot, bring lightly salted water to a boil. Add the rotini and cook until al dente, about 8 minutes.
Step 2
While the pasta is cooking, steam the broccoli in the microwave according to the package instructions, one bag at a time, for 4 to 6 minutes.
Step 3
Drain the cooked pasta in a colander and rinse with cold water until completely cool. Transfer the pasta back to the pot and add the broccoli, tomatoes, salad dressing, Cheddar cheese, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and onion powder. Mix thoroughly and refrigerate until chilled, for about 30 minutes to 1 hour. Serve the salad cold.
