2 cups (240g) all-purpose flour
1 teaspoon baking powder
1 teaspoon baking soda
1 teaspoon salt
3 ripe bananas, mashed
1 tablespoon milk
1 teaspoon ground cinnamon (or to taste)
1 cup (200g) white sugar
1/2 cup (115g) softened butter
2 large eggs
1 cup (175g) semisweet chocolate chips
Step 1
Start by preheating the oven to 165°C (325°F) and greasing a 9x5-inch loaf pan, preferably glass.
Step 2
In a bowl, mix the flour, baking powder, baking soda, and salt.
Step 3
In another bowl, stir together the mashed bananas, milk, and cinnamon.
Step 4
In a third bowl, beat the sugar and butter with an electric mixer until light and fluffy. Then, add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Step 5
Combine the banana mixture with the butter mixture, then mix in the flour mixture until just blended. Fold in the chocolate chips, and pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan.
Step 6
Bake for about 70 minutes until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Let it cool in the pan for 10 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack to cool completely before slicing.
