6 liters water, plus more as needed
60 g seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®)
450 g small red potatoes
5 ml seafood seasoning (such as Old Bay®), or to taste
900 g king crab legs
475 ml chopped carrots
350 ml chopped celery
12 pearl onions
450 g spicy sausage links, cut into rounds
4 ears corn, husked
900 g unpeeled shrimp
Step 1
Prepare a large stewing pot and bring 6 liters of water to a boil. Add 60 g of seafood seasoning to the boiling water.
Step 2
Boil the red potatoes in the seasoned water for 15 minutes.
Step 3
In a separate large pot, bring water to a boil and add 5 ml of seafood seasoning. Cook the crab legs in the seasoned boiling water until the meat is tender, about 10 minutes. Then, drain the crab legs.
Step 4
Add the carrots, celery, and onions to the potatoes and cook until the vegetables are tender, about 10 minutes.
Step 5
Next, add the sausage and corn to the pot and continue boiling for an additional 5 minutes.
Step 6
Finally, add the shrimp and cooked crab legs. Cook until the shrimp turn bright pink on the outside and the meat is opaque, which should take about 2 to 3 minutes.
