340 g fresh strawberries, hulled
150 g white sugar
475 ml heavy whipping cream
240 ml milk
5 ml vanilla extract
1 tiny pinch salt
2 drops red food coloring

In a blender, pulse the strawberries and sugar until pureed. Let it sit for 10 minutes.

Add cream, milk, vanilla extract, and salt to the strawberry mixture. Blend until smooth and slightly thickened for 10-15 seconds. Whisk in the red food coloring.
Step 3
Transfer the strawberry mixture to an ice cream maker and process until thick according to the manufacturer's instructions.
Step 4
Transfer the ice cream to a sealable container, cover it with plastic wrap, seal the container, and freeze for 2 hours to overnight.
