500 g crushed pretzels
175 g butter, melted
45 g white sugar
225 g cream cheese, softened
200 g white sugar
225 g frozen whipped topping, thawed
2 (85 g) packages strawberry flavored Jell-O®
475 ml boiling water
560 g frozen strawberries
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 200°C (400°F).
Step 2
In a bowl, combine crushed pretzels, melted butter, and 45 g sugar. Mix well and press the mixture into the bottom of a 23x33 cm baking dish.
Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven for 8 to 10 minutes, then set aside to cool.
Step 4
In a large bowl, beat cream cheese and 200 g sugar with an electric mixer until smooth. Fold in the whipped topping. Spread the mixture onto the cooled crust.
Step 5
Dissolve the gelatin in boiling water. Stir in the still-frozen strawberries and allow to set briefly. Pour and spread over the cream cheese layer. Refrigerate until set, at least 2 hours.
