Ingredients

900 g yuca, peeled and cut into 10 cm sections
2 liters vegetable oil for frying
salt to taste

Directions

Step 1
Prepare a large pot with water and bring it to a boil. Add the yuca and cook until it can be easily pierced with a fork, about 20-30 minutes. Drain and let it cool.
Step 2
Cut the cooked yuca into French fry-sized sticks, removing the fibrous core.
Step 3
Heat the vegetable oil in a deep fryer to 190°C (375°F).
Step 4
Fry the yuca sticks in batches until they are golden brown and crispy, approximately 5 minutes. Use a slotted spoon to remove them from the oil and drain on paper towels.
Step 5
Season the crispy yuca sticks with salt and serve hot.
