Ingredients

100 g oyster mushrooms, trimmed
240 ml buttermilk
180 g all-purpose flour
1 tsp salt
1 tsp ground pepper
1 tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
1 tsp paprika
1 tsp ground mustard
non-stick cooking spray
30 ml vegetable oil

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the air fryer to 200°C (390°F).
Step 2
Place the oyster mushrooms in a bowl and pour the buttermilk over them. Toss to coat the mushrooms with buttermilk and marinate for 15 minutes.
Step 3
In a large resealable bag, combine the flour, salt, pepper, garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, and ground mustard. Seal the bag and shake until evenly combined.

Take a mushroom from the buttermilk mixture, coat it with the seasoned flour in the bag, and transfer it to a plate. Repeat with each mushroom. Then, repeat the breading process once more for each mushroom.
Step 5
Spray the air fryer basket with non-stick spray. Place a single layer of breaded mushrooms in the basket without overcrowding. Air-fry the mushrooms in batches for 4 minutes. Liberally brush the mushrooms with vegetable oil, then air-fry for an additional 4 minutes. Flip the mushrooms and air-fry for 2 more minutes. Repeat for the remaining mushrooms.
