0.25 tsp white sugar
4 ears corn, husked and cleaned

1. In a large pot, bring water to a boil. Stir in the sugar until dissolved.

2. Add the corn to the pot and cover it. Turn off the heat, but leave the pot on the burner.

3. Let the corn steep in the hot water until tender, about 25 minutes.
