125 g white sugar
36 leaves fresh mint, or to taste
3 medium limes, quartered
240 ml rum (such as Bacardi®)
1 liter club soda

Gather all the ingredients.

In a pitcher, muddle together the sugar and mint leaves until the leaves are well crushed.

Add the quartered limes and muddle until the limes are juiced.

Pour the rum into the sugar mixture, then add the club soda and stir until the sugar is dissolved.
