Ingredients

3 cups fresh fiddlehead ferns, ends trimmed
3 tablespoons unfiltered extra-virgin olive oil
1 clove garlic, minced
0.5 teaspoon sea salt
0.5 teaspoon black pepper
1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice

Directions

Step 1
Prepare the fiddlehead ferns by trimming the ends.
Step 2
Boil a large pot of salted water. Add the fiddlehead ferns and cook until just tender, for about 7-10 minutes. Drain.
Step 3
In a large skillet over medium-high heat, heat the olive oil. Add the prepared fiddlehead ferns, garlic, salt, and pepper. Sauté until the ferns are lightly browned and tender, for about 5 minutes. Remove from heat and sprinkle with lemon juice.
