2 tbsp butter
2 tbsp honey
0.5 lemon (juiced)
2 cloves garlic (minced)
2 tsp soy sauce
0.5 tsp ground black pepper
450 g fresh halibut fillet
Step 1
In a small bowl, mix together butter, honey, lemon juice, garlic, soy sauce, and black pepper. Transfer a small amount of the mixture to another bowl for serving later.
Step 2
Cut the halibut into three pieces using a sharp knife. Brush each side with the remaining butter-honey mixture.
Step 3
Heat a skillet over high heat until it's sizzling hot. Add the halibut and sear for 90 seconds on each side. Reduce the heat to medium and cook until the fish flakes easily with a fork, about 2 to 3 minutes per side. Serve with the reserved butter-honey marinade.
