150 g crushed peppermint hard candies
680 g milk chocolate, coarsely chopped
680 g white chocolate, chopped
5 ml oil-based peppermint flavoring, or to taste
Step 1
Prepare a 23x33 cm baking pan by lining it with wax paper.
Step 2
Spread 1/3 of the crushed peppermint candy over the lined baking pan.
Step 3
In a double boiler, gently melt the milk chocolate, stirring frequently until smooth. Pour the melted chocolate over the peppermint candy in the pan, then sprinkle another 1/3 of the candy on top. Refrigerate until the chocolate hardens (about 30 minutes).
Step 4
Melt the white chocolate in the double boiler, stirring frequently and adding the oil-based peppermint flavoring. Pour the white chocolate over the hardened milk chocolate, then spread the remaining 1/3 of the peppermint candy on top. Refrigerate until the white chocolate hardens (about 30 minutes).
Step 5
Once set, cut or break the bark into pieces to serve.
