400 g frozen waffle fries
450 g ground beef
28 g taco seasoning mix
225 g shredded Mexican cheese blend
150 g diced tomatoes
75 g sliced black olives
75 g sliced jalapeno peppers
3 leaves romaine lettuce, chopped
45 g sour cream (or to taste)
45 g guacamole (or to taste)
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 230°C (450°F).
Step 2
Spread the frozen waffle fries in a single layer on a rimmed baking sheet and bake for 12 to 20 minutes until they turn light golden in color.
Step 3
In a large skillet, cook and crumble the ground beef over medium heat until browned (about 5-7 minutes). Drain excess grease, then stir in the taco seasoning and cook for another 1 to 2 minutes.
Step 4
Transfer the baked fries to a 23x33 cm (9x13 inch) baking pan. Evenly spread the seasoned ground beef over the fries and cover with shredded cheese.
Step 5
Return the pan to the oven and bake for about 5 minutes, or until the cheese has melted.
Step 6
Garnish the loaded fries with diced tomatoes, black olives, jalapeno peppers, and chopped lettuce. Add dollops of sour cream and guacamole on top before serving.
