Ingredients

1 tablespoon white sugar
0.75 teaspoon ground cinnamon
2 cans (15.25 oz) cinnamon apple pie filling
1 cup cinnamon-flavored applesauce
0.5 cup white sugar
0.25 cup brown sugar
3 tablespoons unsalted butter
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
0.5 teaspoon lemon juice
2 packages (8 oz each) refrigerated crescent roll dough, divided
0.25 cup unsalted butter, melted

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 190°C (375°F). Lightly grease a 9x13-inch pan.
Step 2
In a small bowl, mix together white sugar and ground cinnamon for the topping; set aside.
Step 3
For the cobbler filling: In a pan over medium heat, combine apple pie filling, applesauce, white and brown sugars, butter, vanilla, and lemon juice. Cook until thickened, about 5 minutes.
Step 4
Press half of the crescent dough into the bottom of the prepared pan to form a crust. Pour the apple mixture over the crust and spread the remaining crescent dough over the top. Brush the dough with melted butter and sprinkle with cinnamon-sugar.
Step 5
Bake in the preheated oven until the crust is golden brown, about 25 minutes. Let it cool for 10 minutes before serving.
