12 mint leaves
2 lime slices
1 teaspoon white sugar (or more to taste)
60 ml ice cubes (or as needed)
45 ml rum (such as Bacardi®)
135 ml diet lemon-lime soda (such as Diet Sprite®)

In a glass, muddle mint leaves, lime slices, and sugar with a spoon until the mint is crushed. Fill the glass with ice cubes. Pour in the rum and soda, then stir well.
