Ingredients

7 links cooked Italian chicken sausage, halved lengthwise
225 g uncooked manicotti pasta shells
425 g alfredo sauce
8 mozzarella string cheese, halved lengthwise
680 g prepared marinara sauce
200 g shredded mozzarella cheese
25 g grated Parmesan cheese
fresh chopped parsley for garnish (optional)

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C (350°F). Stuff each pasta shell with half a sausage link and arrange in a lightly greased 23x33 cm baking dish.
Step 2
Evenly pour Alfredo sauce over the pasta shells. Place half a string cheese on top between each pasta piece. Top evenly with marinara sauce. Add 150 ml of water to the marinara jar, shake well, and pour around the edges of the dish. Sprinkle with shredded mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil.
Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven for about 1 hour, removing the foil during the last 25 minutes to allow the top to turn golden and bubbly. Let it stand for 10 minutes before serving. Garnish with chopped parsley if desired.
