Ingredients

cooking spray
175 g minced onion
120 g finely chopped bell pepper
120 ml milk
2 large eggs
2 cloves garlic, minced
175 ml ketchup, divided
30 g chopped fresh parsley
20 ml Worcestershire sauce, divided
10 g minced fresh thyme
10 g Dijon mustard
75 g seasoned bread crumbs
900 g ground sirloin
8 g kosher salt
2 g ground black pepper
10 ml balsamic vinegar

Directions

Step 1
Preheat the oven to 175°C. Lightly coat a 23x13 cm loaf pan with cooking spray.
Step 2
In a large bowl, combine onion, bell pepper, milk, eggs, garlic, 2 tablespoons ketchup, parsley, 3 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce, thyme, and Dijon mustard. Mix well. Stir in bread crumbs. Add ground sirloin, salt, and pepper; mix until just combined. Form the mixture into a loaf shape and fit it into the prepared pan.
Step 3
In a small bowl, combine the remaining ketchup with balsamic vinegar and 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce. Mix well and spread it over the top of the meatloaf.
Step 4
Bake in the preheated oven for 1 hour or until an instant-read thermometer inserted in the center reads 71°C. Let it stand for 10 minutes before slicing and serving. For easier slicing, let it sit longer before serving.
