1.4 kg corned beef brisket
60 ml brown sugar
Step 1
Preheat the oven to 132°C (270°F).
Step 2
Rinse the corned beef under running water to remove about half of the salt, then trim away any excess fat. Place the corned beef into a baking dish and spread a 1/4-inch layer of brown sugar over the top. Cover the baking dish with aluminum foil.
Step 3
Bake in the preheated oven until the internal temperature reaches 65°C (145°F), about 2 hours.
Step 4
Remove from the oven and discard any accumulated liquid. Slice the beef as thinly as possible.
