1 can (425g) beets
1 onion, thinly sliced
12 hard-boiled eggs, peeled and left whole
60g white sugar
120ml vinegar
Step 1
In a saucepan, pour the liquid from the can of beets. Place the beets, onions, and eggs in a large bowl or pitcher.
Step 2
In the saucepan with the beet liquid, add the sugar and vinegar. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat and let it simmer for 15 minutes.
Step 3
Pour the beet juice mixture over the beets, eggs, and onions. Seal the bowl or pitcher and refrigerate for at least 1 to 3 days for the best flavor.
