Ingredients

240 g white sugar
180 ml chicken broth
180 ml white vinegar
15 ml vegetable oil
10 g soy sauce
5 g salt
1 clove garlic, minced
60 ml cold water
45 g cornstarch

Directions

Step 1
In a medium saucepan, combine the sugar, chicken broth, vinegar, oil, soy sauce, salt, and garlic. Stir well and bring to a boil.
Step 2
In a small bowl, whisk together the water and cornstarch until the cornstarch is fully dissolved. Then, gradually whisk this mixture into the boiling sauce. Cook the glaze for 5 to 7 minutes, or until it thickens.
