2 cups (480 ml) water
1 cup (200 g) lentils
2 cubes chicken bouillon
1 tsp (5 ml) extra virgin olive oil
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup (120 g) walnuts
salt and pepper to taste
Step 1
In a pot, combine water, lentils, and bouillon cubes. Cover and simmer over medium heat for about 30 minutes until the lentils are tender. Drain well.
Step 2
In a skillet over medium heat, heat olive oil and sauté the chopped onion until soft and translucent.
Step 3
In a food processor, blend the cooked lentils, sautéed onions, and walnuts until the mixture reaches the desired pâté-like consistency. Season with salt and pepper to taste. Chill the pâté before serving.
