Ingredients

1/4 cup olive oil
2 tbsp balsamic vinegar
4 garlic cloves, minced
4 (4 oz) salmon fillets
1 1/2 tsp garlic salt
1 tbsp chopped fresh cilantro
1 tbsp chopped fresh basil

Directions

1

In a small bowl, whisk together olive oil and balsamic vinegar. Set aside a few tablespoons of this mixture for basting.

2

Place salmon fillets in a shallow dish. Sprinkle minced garlic on top, then brush with the reserved oil-vinegar mixture. Turn the fillets over to coat both sides evenly. Season with garlic salt.

3

Sprinkle chopped cilantro and basil over the salmon. Let it marinate for 10 minutes.

4

While the salmon is marinating, preheat your grill or broiler to medium-high heat. About 6 inches away from the heat source.

5

Remove the salmon fillets from the marinade and shake off excess. Discard remaining marinade.

6

Grill the salmon for about 10-12 minutes, turning once and brushing occasionally with the reserved oil-vinegar mixture. This will create a nicely browned crust while ensuring the fish remains tender inside.

7

Serve hot and enjoy your flavorful Mediterranean-inspired dish.
