Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tsp ground cinnamon
1 tsp ground nutmeg
1 tsp ground allspice
0.5 tsp salt
1 cup unsalted butter, softened
2 cups white sugar
4 large eggs
1 tsp baking soda
1 tbsp warm water
1 tsp vanilla extract
3 apples - peeled, cored and chopped
0.5 cup raisins
0.25 cup confectioners' sugar for dusting

Directions

1

Preheat your oven to 350°F (175°C) and generously butter a 10-inch bundt pan.

2

Soak raisins in warm water for 10 minutes, then drain them.

3

In a large bowl, whisk together flour, spices, and salt. Set aside.

4

Using an electric mixer, beat softened butter and sugar until fluffy. Add eggs one at a time, followed by vanilla extract. Mix baking soda with 1 tablespoon warm water until smooth; stir into the butter mixture.

5

Mix in flour mixture, chopped apples, and drained raisins until well blended.

6

Pour batter into the prepared bundt pan.

7

Bake for about 60 minutes or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. Cool cake in the pan.

8

To serve, gently shake the pan to loosen the cake. Flip it onto a plate and dust with confectioners' sugar.
