Ingredients

2 cups all-purpose flour
1 tablespoon baking powder
0.5 teaspoon salt
0.75 cup unsalted butter
1 cup packed brown sugar
0.5 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon orange zest
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
2 eggs
1.5 cups semisweet chocolate chips
1.5 cups chopped pecans

Directions

1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease cookie sheets.

2

In a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking powder, and salt. Set aside.

3

In a large bowl, cream butter, sugars, orange zest, and vanilla extract until light and fluffy.

4

One at a time, beat in eggs. Add dry ingredients and stir until combined. Stir in chocolate chips and pecans, mixing until well-blended.

5

Using a tablespoon, drop dough slightly rounded onto cookie sheets, spacing them about 2 inches apart. Gently flatten each mound with the back of the spoon.

6

Bake cookies in the preheated oven until golden brown, approximately 15 minutes. Let cool briefly on the cookie sheets before transferring to a wire rack to cool completely.
