Ingredients

1 beef bouillon cube
1 cup warm water
0.5 cup soy sauce
0.33333334326744 cup brown sugar
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 tablespoon sesame oil
1.5 pounds beef sirloin, cut into 1-inch strips
2 tablespoons cornstarch
2 pounds broccoli florets
1 tablespoon sesame seeds

Directions

1

Dissolve the beef bouillon cube in warm water in a bowl; add soy sauce, brown sugar, garlic, and sesame oil and stir until sugar is dissolved.

2

Place beef strips into a slow cooker crock. Pour the sauce mixture over the beef.

3

Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours or on High for 4 hours until beef is tender enough to cut with a spoon.

4

In a separate bowl, mix 2 tablespoons of liquid from the slow cooker with cornstarch. Stir the mixture into the liquid in the slow cooker to thicken the sauce, about 30 minutes.

5

Steam broccoli florets in a covered steamer over boiling water for 2 to 6 minutes; add to the sauce in the slow cooker and stir to coat.

6

Serve beef and broccoli with sauce over portions of cooked jasmine rice and garnish with sesame seeds.
