Ingredients

1 (3 lb) beef chuck roast
1 onion, quartered
1 (10.5 oz) can beef broth
1 (1 oz) packet dry au jus mix
1 (.7 oz) package dry Italian salad dressing mix (such as Good Seasons®)
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp ground black pepper
