2 cups chopped apples
1 cup steel-cut oats
0.5 cup dried cranberries
0.5 cup brown sugar
2 tbsp butter, sliced
1 tsp vanilla extract
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.25 tsp ground nutmeg
2 cups milk
2 cups water
0.5 cup chopped walnuts

Line a 3.5- or 4-quart slow cooker with a disposable slow cooker liner. Add apples, oats, cranberries, brown sugar, butter, vanilla extract, cinnamon, and nutmeg. Pour in milk and water; stir to combine.

Cover and cook on Low for 6 to 8 hours. When done cooking, top with chopped walnuts.
