Ingredients

1 1/2 cups white sugar
0.75 cup unsalted butter, melted
1 egg
0.25 cup molasses
2 cups all-purpose flour
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp ground cinnamon
0.5 tsp salt
0.5 tsp ground cloves
0.5 tsp ground ginger

In a medium bowl, mix 1 cup sugar, melted butter, and egg until smooth.

In another medium bowl, combine flour, baking soda, cinnamon, salt, cloves, and ginger. Add this mixture to the wet ingredients and stir until well combined. Cover and refrigerate dough for 1 hour.
