Ingredients

4 bratwurst
3 (12 ounce) cans light beer
5 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon cayenne pepper
6 slices bacon, cut in half

Directions

1

Using a fork, poke bratwurst several times and place them into a saucepan. Pour in the beer and bring to a boil. Reduce heat to medium and let them simmer for about 15 minutes. Remove bratwursts from the beer and allow them to cool down to room temperature.

2

Preheat your oven to 425°F (220°C). Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil, then place a wire rack on top of it.

3

In a large bowl, mix brown sugar and cayenne pepper together. Set aside.

4

Slice each boiled bratwurst into three pieces. Wrap each piece with half a strip of bacon and secure with a toothpick. Toss the bacon-wrapped bratwursts in the cayenne mixture, coating them well. Arrange them on the prepared baking sheet.

5

Bake in the preheated oven until the bacon turns brown and crispy, which should take around 25 to 35 minutes.
