Ingredients

1 (3 pound) beef brisket
2 (12 ounce) bottles chili sauce
1 (1 ounce) envelope dry onion soup mix
2 teaspoons garlic powder

Directions

1

Place the beef brisket in a slow cooker. In a medium bowl, whisk together the chili sauce, onion soup mix, and garlic powder; pour this mixture over the brisket.

2

Cover the slow cooker and set it to Low for 8 to 10 hours. Once cooked, slice the brisket against the grain and serve with a generous drizzle of the homemade gravy.

3

To make the gravy, skim off some of the cooking juices from the slow cooker into a small saucepan. Bring the juices to a gentle boil and let them reduce slightly until thickened.
