Ingredients

5 oz cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1/4 cup butter-flavored vegetable shortening
1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp baking powder
1/2 tsp salt
1 cup sugar
3 eggs, at room temperature
1 tsp vanilla extract
1/4 cup confectioner's sugar, or as needed

Directions

1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C). Grease a tube or Bundt pan and set aside.

2

Using an electric mixer, beat butter, cream cheese, and shortening together in a large bowl until light and fluffy, about 5 minutes.

3

In a separate bowl, whisk together flour, baking powder, and salt. Gradually beat the flour mixture into the cream cheese mixture until well combined.

4

Beat in 1 egg, followed by 1/2 cup sugar. Repeat with the second and third eggs, alternating with the remaining sugar. Beat in vanilla extract. Pour batter into the prepared pan.

5

Bake for 38 to 45 minutes or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. Cool in the pan on a wire rack for 15 minutes.

6

Remove cake from pan and cool completely. Once the cake is fully cooled, dust with a thick layer of powdered sugar.
