Ingredients

2 eggs, beaten
0.75 cup milk
0.5 cup dry bread crumbs
0.25 cup chopped onion
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon ground black pepper
0.5 teaspoon crumbled dried sage
1.5 pounds ground beef
0.5 cup ketchup
2 tablespoons brown sugar
1 teaspoon dry mustard powder

Directions

1

Preheat the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease a 9x5-inch loaf pan.

2

In a large bowl, mix together the beaten eggs, milk, bread crumbs, onion, salt, black pepper, and sage until well combined. Gently incorporate the ground beef, ensuring an even mixture; then press it into the prepared loaf pan.

3

Bake for about 50 minutes or until the meatloaf is cooked through (internal temperature of at least 160°F [70°C] with an instant-read thermometer).

4

While the meatloaf bakes, prepare the glaze by mixing the ketchup, brown sugar, and dry mustard powder in a bowl until the sugar dissolves.

5

Once the meatloaf is cooked, spread the glaze on top and return it to the oven. Bake until the glaze sets, approximately 10 more minutes.
