Ingredients

1 cup fresh green beans, trimmed and snapped
1 cup fresh wax beans, trimmed and snapped
1 cup diced carrot
1 cup diced turnip
4 cups water, or as needed to cover
0.25 tsp salt, or to taste
2 cups cubed new potatoes
0.5 cup heavy cream
6 tbsp butter
0.5 cup water
1 tbsp all-purpose flour

Prep all ingredients.

Combine green beans, wax beans, carrots, and turnip in a stockpot; add water to cover.

Stir in salt and bring to a boil. Reduce heat and let simmer for 30 minutes.

Add potatoes and continue simmering until tender (about 30 more minutes).

Mix in cream and butter.

Whisk together 1/2 cup water and flour; incorporate into stew and cook until thickened (3 to 5 minutes).
