Once boiling, mix in crispy rice cereal and peanuts. Quickly transfer the mixture to the prepared baking dish, pressing it down evenly.
Sprinkle chocolate chips across the warm peanut butter mixture. Let the chips melt, then spread them out for an even chocolate layer.
Chill in the refrigerator until the bars harden, approximately 1 hour.
