Ingredients

1 tbsp vegetable oil
4 (4 oz) pork loin chops, 1/2 inch thick
3 tsp sea salt flakes
2 tsp ground black pepper
1 onion, sliced into strips
1 cup water

Directions

1

In a large skillet, heat the oil over medium heat. Season both sides of pork chops with 2 teaspoons of sea salt and 1 teaspoon of black pepper. Add the chops to the hot skillet and cook for about 3 minutes on each side until browned.

2

Add the sliced onions and water to the pan, then cover with a lid and reduce the heat to low. Allow to simmer for 20 minutes.

3

After 20 minutes, carefully flip the chops over and add remaining salt and pepper. Cover the skillet again and cook until the water evaporates and onions turn light to medium brown.

4

Remove pork chops from the pan and serve with onions on top. Enjoy with parsley potatoes for an extra touch of flavor!
