Transform your baby back ribs into a succulent, barbecue-flavored dish using your slow cooker and caramelized onions. Ready in under an hour!
Preheat the oven to 400°F (200°C).
Season ribs with salt and pepper. Place in a shallow roasting pan. Brown in the oven for 15 minutes, flip over, and brown another 15 minutes; drain fat.
In a medium bowl, mix together ketchup, chili sauce, brown sugar, vinegar, oregano, Worcestershire sauce, hot sauce, salt, and pepper. Place ribs in the slow cooker. Pour the sauce over ribs, turning to coat.
Add sliced onions on top of the ribs and cook, covered, on low for 2-3 hours or until ribs are tender and the onions are caramelized.
Preheat a grill to high heat. Remove ribs from slow cooker, brush with some barbecue sauce, and grill for about 5 minutes on each side until slightly charred.
Serve hot with extra barbecue sauce<dummy00003> on the side.
