Ingredients

1 lb boneless venison steak, cubed
1 lb pork sausage
1 onion, chopped
2 cloves garlic, minced
6 oz tomato paste
hot pepper sauce to taste
salt and ground black pepper to taste
15.5 oz cannellini beans, drained
10 oz can diced tomatoes with green chiles
3 tbsp chili powder
1 cup shredded Cheddar cheese, for garnish

In a large skillet, cook venison and sausage over medium heat until no longer pink and well-browned. Break up with a wooden spoon as necessary. Drain grease. Add onions and garlic; cook until fragrant, about 3 minutes. Drain grease.

Add tomato paste, hot pepper sauce, salt, and black pepper to the skillet. Stir well.

Transfer cannellini beans, tomatoes, and chili powder to a slow cooker. Mix in the venison mixture. Cover the slow cooker and cook on Low for 8 to 10 hours or on High for about 5 hours.
