Ingredients

1/2 cup water
3 tbsp hickory smoke seasoning
1 rack frozen baby back ribs, membrane removed and cut into 4 slabs
1/4 cup barbecue sauce

Directions

Pour water into a multi-functional pressure cooker, such as Instant Pot. Place the trivet inside.

Sprinkle hickory smoke seasoning generously over frozen ribs and set them on top of the trivet.

Close and lock the lid. Set to high pressure for 45 minutes according to manufacturer's instructions. Allow 10-15 minutes for pressure to build.

Release pressure using the natural-release method, about 15 minutes. Unlock and remove the lid.

Preheat oven broiler with a rack 6 inches from the heat source.

Transfer ribs to a rimmed baking sheet. Brush with barbecue sauce and broil until glazed, 4-5 minutes.
